Hi everyone! I’ve recently gotten to know San Diego eating disorder therapist Emily Walkley, LMFT. She is the program director at Center for Discovery’s Outpatient Eating Disorder Treatment Center Outpatient Eating Disorder Treatment Center in Del Mar, California. I was really impressed with how passionate Emily is about treating eating disorders, especially with the LGBTQIAA+ population. I can really relate to that! Neurofeedback and EMDR are becoming increasingly prevalent in eating disorder treatment in San Diego and elsewhere. Cyndi Pulsinelli, LMFT, is a San Diego eating disorder therapist who is also the clinical advisor for Center for Discovery’s Del Mar Outpatient eating disorder treatment center. In this post, Cyndi shares about her background, as well as the work that she is doing with neurofeedback and EMDR at Center for Discovery. Eating disorders are incredibly complex, so it’s important to explore various treatment options to find the ones that are right for you. Neruofeedback and EMDR can be effective strategies to supplement and enhance eating disorder treatment. Happy Friday, everyone! I want to introduce you to Christine Capuano, APCC (associate professional clinical counselor). She is a San Diego eating disorder therapist who works for Center for Discovery’s (CFD) partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) in Del Mar. Christine is a very talented therapist who does great individual, family, and group work. She also works part-time in a private practice in La Mesa, California.

Hello and Happy New Year! I wanted to introduce you to a good friend of mine who has been working for years in the eating disorder field in San Diego, Utah, and now Atlanta. She is also a personal coach, and I can tell you that she is AMAZING at what she does! I have gone to one of her seminars on unearthing your personal attitudes about money, and I found it so transformative. She is incredibly positive, encouraging, and nonjudgmental. People from all walks of life would benefit from working with her—especially those who want support and accountability to instigate powerful change in their lives. Hi everyone! This week I’d like you to meet San Diego eating disorder dietitian Theresa Carmichael, RD. Theresa is a dietitian at Center For Discovery’s partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program in Del Mar. She also treats clients in her private practice in Mira Mesa in San Diego. She is a lovely person who really advocates the Health at Every Size (HAES®) and Intuitive Eating approaches, which I also uphold. She also does amazing work with her clients!

Hello all! Dr. Christine Wood is an amazing eating disorder pediatrician with whom I’ve collaborated over the past few years. She works in private practice at Coast Pediatrics in Carmel Valley, and she also serves as the medical consultant at the La Jolla Residential Treatment Center (RTC) for Center for Discovery. Hands down, I believe that Dr. Christine Wood is the top eating disorder pediatrician in San Diego.
